If you wish to play a game of golf, you can do so at one of Istria's heavenly corners, the Brijuni Islands. The golf course on the Veliki Brijun Island is a 9-hole course with numerous interesting hazards provided by the surrounding natural landscape.
There are over 430 clay tennis courts in Istria that can be used throughout the year. The well-known ATP TOUR CROATIA OPEN is held in the Istrian town of Umag. If you wish to play tennis while staying in our apartments, you can do so on the courts in Duga uvala, situated only 8 km away.
The winds and sea currents will offer a unique experience to the lovers of surfing. The southern part of Istria, with strong sea currents and more "challenging" winds, is suitable for more adept surfers. Bring your surfboard with you and relax.
Kite-fying and sports climbing
If, while staying in our apartments, you wish to fly a kite or climb a cliff and be swept away by the beauties of this beautiful and magical country, here are some useful information:
There are five kite-fying start areas in Istria: Kaštelir near Novigrad, excellent for beginners, then Raspadalica, Brgud on Učka, Lanišće, Zbevnica and the top of the Učka Mountain, very suitable for kite-flying. All the start areas are oriented so as to allow you to take to the heights from one of them within the radius of 30 km, regardless of the wind.
There are so far 9 climbing areas suitable for sports climbing: Zlatni Rt near Rovinj, the Lim Channel, Dvigrad, Istarske toplice, Raspadalica above Buzet, Vranjska draga near the Učka Tunnel, Zarečki krov and Lido near Pazin, Moščenička draga, Vintijana near Pula. In designated climbing areas on the so-called short cliffs, 20-30 m high, there are 270 equipped climbing routes. Both the top athletes and the beginners can get pretty exhausted while trying to overcome the various hazards awaiting them on Istrian cliffs.
